Houston Dominates State Grants for Cancer Research
The 14 companies that have established headquarters in Houston are in many different stages. At least one - Bellicum Pharmaceuticals - has gone public, and several, including Beta Cat Pharmaceuticals, DNAtrix and soon-to-be Salarius are on their way to clinical trials that will hopefully result in new cancer therapeutics.

This position is responsible for scheduling appointments, assisting with insurance verification, completing medical records requests, as well as acting as the back-up for the receptionist. The perfect candidate will have a HS Diploma or GED, and two years experience working in a similar position.
Applause Dentists is currently hiring Dental Assistants in Houston, TX. Dental Assistants will assist the Dentist with oral surgery and oral evacuation, take dental impressions, sterilize equipment and perform some front office procedures. The perfect candidate will have an understanding of pharmacology and pain control, a HS Diploma or GED, and a minimum of one year experience as a Dental Assistant.
Urgent Care MDS is currently hiring a Radiologic Technologist and a Medical Assistant in Atascocita, TX. The Medical Assistant will be the smiling face that escorts patients throughout the facility, obtains vital signs, performs collection and testing of specimens, maintain and clean medical equipment and assist doctors during examination and treatment. The Radiologic Technologist will explain the x-ray process to patients, perform x-rays, maintain logs and radiology binder, and obtain reports from offsite radiologists and file appropriately. Both positions require two years of college from a technical or vocational school, and two to three years experience.
