Houston will be hosting Super Bowl LI. Since the announcement, downtown Houston has seen major construction projects brought to the forefront in order to capitalize on the massive exposure and potential revenue the Super Bowl brings. New hotels have been built, along with reconstruction of the George R. Brown Convention Center, and the completion of the light-rail extension. Although the festivities will last only a couple of weeks, Houston will benefit from all these projects for years to come.

Keep an eye out and an ear on the ground for openings in the following industries. They will all be directly affected by the number of incoming tourists.

Tourists have to use transportation in order to get to Houston and move around. We can expect to see an increase in rentals, taxis, and car services. From parking valets to limousine drivers. Also, let's not forget Metro, which has opened up two new light-rail lines.
Tourists will need a place to stay, a place to eat, and also places to go out and party leading up to the big game. Restaurants, hotels, bars, and clubs will all expect a huge boost in customers and many will need extra help.
Art, Entertainment, and Recreation
Visitors will take in all the sights Houston has to offer as well as world class entertainment. The George R. Brown Convention Center and Discovery Green will be hosting NFL week which will expect a huge amount of foot traffic. Keep an eye out for vendors needing more workers.
Houston can expect all kinds of events all around the city during Super Bowl Week. There will be an huge demand for workers with specialties in event coordination and planning. Hospitality will be the key in planning any event of this scale. Compared to the last time Houston hosted the Super Bowl, available hotel rooms have almost doubled from 44,000 in 2004 to 84,000 today.
