Elements of a Quality Job Posting
|
|
The Order Writing unit of the Employer Service Division posts thousands of job listings in WorkInTexas.com each month. As we all work to link employers to job candidates and workers to jobs, consider using these quick tips to make your job posting sizzle and attract the quality candidates for the best match.
|
|
- Use a catchy and descriptive job title
- Logistics Expert, instead of Warehouse Manager
- Solution Finder, instead of Outside Sales Representative
- Provide plenty of details and specific qualifications in the job description
- List pay rates.
- Employer unwilling to list the rate of pay? Ask for a pay range instead.
- List any and all benefits provided by the employer
- Simplify the application process

As tax season approaches, the subject of how to classify workers presents an opportunity to introduce Workforce Solutions' HR consulting and training services to employers regarding the critical distinction between an employee and a contract worker.
Employers who wish to learn more about this topic may be referred to Employer Service at 713.688.6890.
