Meet Lizandra Vazquez: Helping Workforce Services Reach the Community

Lizandra Vazquez brings extensive workforce experience to the Gulf Coast Workforce Board through her role with Texas Workforce Solutions. As an Integrative Service Area Manager, she supports employer service staff across the region while helping oversee programs that connect businesses, job seekers, and educational opportunities.

“Basically, I oversee employer service staff throughout different workforce relations offices and different contractors throughout the region.”

Having spent years working within the workforce system, Vazquez has witnessed its evolution firsthand. Her experience gives her a unique perspective on the progress being made to expand services, increase awareness, and create more opportunities for the communities served throughout the Gulf Coast region.

Looking to the future, Vazquez is optimistic about the direction of workforce development and the growing focus on education, career advancement, and community engagement.

“I’m really excited about the future of the workforce because when I started… I’ve seen it grow.”

She believes increased visibility and outreach have helped more people learn about the resources available to them, creating stronger connections between workforce services and the communities that need them most.

Outside of work, Vazquez enjoys spending time with her family and her two beloved dogs, who she says are like children to her.
