Computer Systems Analyst
Is it Business? Is it a Tech Field? It's Both.
Computer systems analysts solve computer problems and apply computer technology to meet the needs of an organization's efficiency and business goals. They analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems, and review computer systems capabilities. They also manage the ordering of hardware and the debugging of software to make sure the organization's technology is up to the best standards it can be.
Depending on where they are employed, most systems analysts work with specific systems such as business, accounting, financial, scientific or engineering. Organizations and businesses increasingly rely on computer technology to operate efficiently in the highly competitive global marketplace, making computer systems analysts a rapidly growing field.

High School Endorsement: Business & Industry | STEM
To be successful as a computer systems analyst, you will need to continually upgrade your skills and knowledge to keep pace with the constant change in technology. Start preparing in high school and take as many chemistry, physics, mathematics and science classes as you can with electives on the high school endorsement track.
To get a job as a computer systems analyst, you need at least a bachelor's degree with emphasis in computer science, information systems, or management information systems, and a broad knowledge of a variety of computer systems and technologies. The most marketable computer systems analysts also have a background in another discipline - such as business management, accounting, physics, or engineering - which helps with specialized applications in specific business functions.
