A Letter from Susan Dixon, Employer Service Manager
Welcome Back!
In our second newsletter, we focus on ways you can attract and retain talent – especially hourly workers – when you can’t offer higher wages. From training to benefits to flexibility, there are several ideas for consideration. We specifically highlight how our On-the-Job Training programs are a powerful tool to help you meet challenges such as upskilling and reskilling today’s workforce, finding cultural fits and filling roles quickly.
We are also thrilled to introduce you to Juliet Stipeche, our new Director of Human Services for the Houston-Galveston Area Council, who recently took over the role after Mike Temple’s retirement. Juliet’s leadership skills and wealth of experience will be invaluable in developing solutions that meet the diverse needs of employers in our area and keeping our region a great place to do business.
Our hope with these newsletters is to provide you with useful resources, insights on the future of work and tools that help you navigate the local market and build your workforce. If you’re in need of hiring, training or retaining support, feel free to reach out to Employer Service at 713.688.6890 or jobs@wrksolutions.com to talk with a business consultant. Last, feel free to encourage your peers and colleagues to sign up for these newsletters here.
Until next time,
Susan Dixon
